Established in 1974, Ken's was purchased by current owners, Gary and Claudia Taylor of Valparaiso, in 1986.

Since that time they have been providing quality cleaning of carpet and upholstery in homes and businesses throughout Northwest Indiana. Ken's Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Service offers two cleaning methods. The first is Hot Water Extraction (HWE), sometimes commonly referred as "steam cleaning." The second type is Von Schrader Dry Foam Extraction.

Our Growth is a direct result of customer satisfaction with our service and our honest business practices.

1. Our Products are safe to use around both your family and pets and are environmentally safe.

2. Cleaning procedure consists of:
   1. dry soil removal
   2. pre-treat heavy soiled areas
   3. pre-treat spots
   4. cleaning of carpet
   5. post spotting

3. We will move most furniture and place plastic tabs or styrofoam blocks under the furniture to protect the cleaned carpet. Items may be placed back on the carpet when the carpet feels dry.

4. Average drying time is five to ten hours. This time varies with the types of carpet, weather conditions , and overall condition of the carpet. You may walk on the carpet during and after cleaning. However, caution should be used when walking from carpet to tile areas so as not to slip.

5. If for some reason you are not satisfied with an area after it has been cleaned, we will re-clean that area at no additional charge!
